Nougat is a typical Italian confection, already in vogue in Roman times and widely diffused in the Middle Ages. In the Piedmont region this desert is made especially in the areas of Asti and Alba. Still today Torroneria Barbero produces its famous nougat bars in accordance with the traditional recipe handed down from generation to generation. Specifically, in this version the nougat is crumbly and covered with extra dark chocolate with Piedmont IGP hazelnuts. Absolute bliss!
