Emilia-Romagna: a region in which gastronomic culture is one of the supporting pillars of local tradition. It was here, in 1952, that Attilio Babbi founded Azienda Dolciaria Babbi, a firm that has continued to the present with its production of cones, wafers and intermediates for handcrafted ice cream production. The firm's guidelines, based on the use of genuine and super-fresh ingredients, have allowed these products to become a benchmark for a large number of ice cream makers. The firm decided to expand only later, intruding a confectionery department specialised in creating unique delicacies made from carefully selected ingredients and prepared slowly and using artisanal practices in accordance with tradition.
