La Nicchia has always been committed to transferring all the goodness of the antique Sicilian recipes to its products: the caper pesto is an example.

Made with capers from Pantelleria and with Sicilian almonds, this is the island version of the basil pesto and is surprising not only due to its versatility, but also for its tantalising flavour.

Use it on pasta in place of the classical Genovese pasta, or on canapés to add an original touch to your aperitif. Bring out its best by spreading it on a thick slice of hot bread.

Manufacturer History

La Nicchia is an emblem of the tradition of preparing capers in Pantelleria: Bonomo & Giglio started their business in 1949. Today, they are the only company on the island that is at the same time an agricultural company, caper producer and artisan laboratory, making conserves that come from a culture that is aware and respectful of its land and its times.
