Do I need to create an account to shop at the Eataly Online Store? How do I register?

You don’t need to create an account to shop at the Eataly Online Store.

You can access as a guest user, or from Facebook by clicking ‘Access from Facebook’ or you can also create an account in a few simple steps:

- click at the top right on ‘Login/Register’;
- enter the requested data on the 'Register' section;
- click on 'Create Account'.

A confirmation email will be sent to the address you specified when you set up your account.

Is there a minimum order amount on Eataly Online Store?

No, you can shop for any order amount.

I am unable to create an account or to complete my purchase. What can I do?

If you have any navigation difficulties or are unable to complete a purchase at the Eataly Online Store, first of all make sure your browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) is updated to the latest version.

I placed an order, how do I know if it has been confirmed?

Once you have completed your order you will receive confirmation email to the email address used to place the order.

If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder and also your promotion folder. If you have any further question contact our Customer Service by clicking on 'Contacts'.


What payment methods can I use at the Eataly Online Store?

The following payment methods are available at the Eataly Online Store:

- Credit Card
- Bank transfer
- Cash on delivery (4.50€ shipping fee)
- PayPal
- Eataly Card
- Sofort

We also inform you that in case of payment by credit card, PayPal or Eataly Card at the time of order is only made an authorization of the amount you ordered. The charge is made at the time of closing the order on the basis of the products actually shipped.

Which Credit Cards are accepted?

You can buy products from the Eataly Online Store using these cards: Visa, Visa Electron, Postepay, Mastercard and American Express.

Is it safe to use a credit card to pay on the Eataly Online Store?

Using a credit card to shop at the Eataly Online Store is easy and safe.

To ensure the maximum level of protection the transaction is carried out on the bank's secure server through Adyen's payment gateway.

The Eataly Online Store does not store credit card data, but thanks to the link with the bank server, selecting the proper option, from your second purchase on you can place orders without having to re-enter your data. 

All information you supply to the bank is encrypted using the SSL protocol.

How does the Cash on Delivery payment option work?

With cash on delivery payment you can purchase any product at the Eataly Online Store except for products that do not require shipping (Events, Courses, Eataly Cards, Eatinerari).

Cash on delivery can be used to pay orders up to a maximum value of 450.00€ with a fee of 4.50€. The final price including the fee will be shown in the Order Summary.

Cash on delivery payment is only available for shipments within Italy.

How does the Bank Transfer payment method work?

If you decide to shop at the Eataly Online Store using the bank transfer payment method, remember to make the payment within 3 days from the order date. Once this period elapses, if you have not made the transfer your order will be cancelled.

Use the following data for the bank transfer:

Description: specify the order date and number, that you can find in the confirmation email.

Note that your order will be processed only once the associated amount has been received on our account (it usually takes between 1 and 3 working days after the bank transfer).

Shipping and Delivery

How much is the shipping fee within Italy?

Shipping fee is 7.80€ for online orders within Italy, including islands.

Shipping is free for orders over 140.00€.

Can I have my purchases shipped to other countries? How can I do that? How much does it cost? 

The Eataly Online Store can ship products to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Vatican City.

Shipments cannot be made to the following areas: Canary Islands, Andorra, Gibraltar, Aland Islands, Channel Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, Livigno and Campione d’Italia.

To ship outside Italy you have to select the Country from the menu 'Shipping to' available in the home page.

Shipping fee orders abroad is 9.80€. Shipping is free for orders over 140.00€.

When will I receive my order?

Once your order is confirmed, it is usually packed and handed to courier within 4 working days. Delivery within Italy takes between 2 and 3 working days. For shipments abroad delivery times are up to 5 working days.

Orders placed over the weekend or national holidays will be processed on the following working day. For some European countries, delivery times may increase, due to the custom operations.

During Christmas season delivery time within Italy can take up to 3-7 working days.

As soon as your order is handed to the courier you will receive an email with the tracking link.

How can I track my order?

When your order is ready for shipment you will receive an email with the tracking link. You can check the status and localize your order at any time on the courier's website.

If you have not receive the email check your spam or promotion folder.

What I have to do if some of the items I ordered are missing or damaged?

First of all, we invite you to check the contents of the shipment confirmation email we sent you once the processing is complete: if the products are in "not available" status, they have been removed because they are not present in our warehouse.
Information regarding the final charge or refund in case of removal of a product are contained in the shipping confirmation email and may vary depending on the payment method used.

Only in case you found other anomalies (tampered, damaged or packed with adhesive tape not marked Eataly) you can accept with reservation or refuse the delivery: immediately report the incident to our Customer Service who will proceed with further checks.

Returns and Refunds

For which products is the right of withdrawal available?

The right of withdrawal can be applied to all non-perishable products available at the Eataly Online Store (for example books, gadgets, kitchen utensils, etc.).

You cannot return:

- products that may deteriorate or with a short shelf-life (food, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage);
- sealed products that cannot be returned for hygienic or health protection reasons (cosmetics);
- products that have been opened after delivery;
- custom products;
- orders with an invoice issued.

Can I return products that I am not satisfied with?

Why I cannot return food or cosmetics?

To protect our Customers and for reasons of hygiene the right of withdrawal is available only for products that can be resold without potential consumer health risks. We cannot accept returns of food and cosmetics since we are unable to guarantee the adequate preservation of these products.

How much does returning products cost?

Returns are free of charge: send a request to our Customer Service within 14 days from the date of delivery.

What an Eataly Card is? Where can I purchase it?

Eataly Card is a prepaid card that can be purchased and used as payment method both online and in store.

The cards available online have four different values (50.00€, 100.00€, 200.00€, and 500.00€) and are ready for use for online shopping. The Eataly Card expires three years from the date the card was purchased or from the last transaction.

How can I use my Eataly Card to shop online and in store?

For online purchases, at the check-out page select 'Eataly Card' as payment method and fill the box with your web code. Please note that you cannot use an Eataly Card to purchase other Eataly Cards or to place orders with Austria and Germany as shipping destination.

If the balance of your Eataly Card cannot fulfill the entire amount of the order you can complete your payment using another payment method.

In order to use the Eataly Card for in store purchases you have to obtain a printed version of the card; you can ask for that at the Eataly Store Info Box showing your online voucher.

How can I check the balance of the Eataly Card?

Save your Eataly Card in your personal account under "Eataly Card" section and check your updated balance in any moment; it expires three years from the last transaction. 

If you are not a registered customer in order to check the updated balance of your Eataly Card contact our Customer Service or ask at the Eataly Store Info Box.
