Angelo Gaja's vast experience has created this Magari Ca' Marcanda, a wine made with 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc grapes. From inside its intense ruby red swirls this wine unfolds peppery notes mingled with fern and wild fennel, followed by glimmers of liquorice, cocoa and tobacco. On the palate it radiates elegance and poise, with gossamer tannins and a sustained finale with a hint of vanilla. Refined for 18 months in barriques and for a further 6 months in the bottle, Magari is perfection in partnership with meat dishes, foie gras, cheese and pasta.

Alcohol: 14.5% vol.
