A beer inspired by the traditional Belgian wheat beers brewed with wheat and spiced with coriander and bitter orange zest, to which the Scarampola Brewery adds peel from Savona 'chinotto', a product supported by Slow Food.

In the beer glass, it flaunts an almost limpid straw-yellow body with golden tints. Its fragrance awakens impressions of spice and citrus, softened by graceful floral traces. Pleasing in the mouth, delicate but persisting, smooth and spiced, with acidulous hints left by the bitter orange 'chinotto'. Alcohol 4.5% vol.

A winningly refreshing summer aperitif, nonchalantly right with light dishes, with a preference for fish. Its feeling of freshness and its amiable chinotto tang make it a perfect partner for raw seafood.

Manufacturer History

A brewery founded on the border between Piedmont and Liguria, in the small medieval town of Cairo Montenotte, in Palazzo Scarampi (hence the name Scarampola). It has since moved to inside the ex-Monastery of Santo Stefano in Millesimo, Province of Savona, a fascinating site drenched in history. Linked with this history and the area's characteristics, the Scarampola Brewery uses Savona 'chinotto' bitter oranges (selected for support by Slow Food) and chestnuts from area, processed in the traditional way.
