Toro, by the Beba brewery, is a densely amber-coloured unpasteurised Real Ale with orangish tints. Mellow-fragranced on the nose, blending caramel, violet, berry and walnut notes. Soft, amiably palatable and well structured mouthfeel. Allusive glimpses of chestnut honey, hazelnut, currants. Full bodied, with fulfilling bitterness. Powerfully at home accompanying red meats, game and matured cheeses.

Manufacturer History

The Beba brewery was founded in 1996 in Villar Perosa in the Province of Turin, well in advance of the recent exponential growth of microbrewery craft beers. Produced following the rules laid down by the German Beer Purity Decree of 1516, indicating the only permitted ingredients to be used in making beer, Beba beers are not subjected to any of the following procedures: addition of carbon dioxide, preservatives or antioxidants, performance of filtration or pasteurisation. This leads to the creation of high quality beers that are both fresh and active. Use of pure water from mountain springs in Val Chisone, superior quality of all ingredients and meticulosity of all brewing procedures: these are the foundations of the excellence of Beba beers, top-fermented or bottom-fermented and all extremely well matured.
