With this caper sauce, La Nicchia is presenting one of the oldest recipes from the Pantesca tradition.

The base of this sauce is the caper paté, to which is added minced dried tomatoes, anchovies, green olives and a pinch of chili. Delicious and flavourful, it is also a very versatile condiment.

Perfect on a plate of spaghetti, it is also optimal on canapés, focaccia and warm bread: for an aperitif with the full flavour of this region, the true essence of the Mediterranean.

Manufacturer History

La Nicchia is an emblem of the tradition of preparing capers in Pantelleria: Bonomo & Giglio started their business in 1949. Today, they are the only company on the island that is at the same time an agricultural company, caper producer and artisan laboratory, making conserves that come from a culture that is aware and respectful of its land and its times.
